"Do what L. Ron Hubbard wilt" is the essence of scientology. This principle comes from Crowley's maxim found in his book, The Book of the Law: "Do what thou wilt is the whole of the law."
Any string you pull in scientology leads to a tangled ball of hypocritical, inconsistent, and non-sequitur notions, but underlying those notions is the fact that Hubbard did whatever he thought he could get away with. His writings were public relations excuses for his actions.
