The slogan most frequently used in sea org recruitment promo material goes, "Many are called ... few are chosen."
That is very similar to a quote from the New Testament, Matthew 22:14 which reads, "For many are called, but few [are] chosen." attributed to Jesus. I cannot vouch for the existence of Jesus, but Hubbard stated in a lecture on the Class VIII course denying that he existed, and in contrast to that earlier statement, in a OT 8 technical bulletin stated that Jesus was a pedophile.
Even though Hubbard could not seem to make up his mind about Jesus, he plagiarized a Biblical quote attributed to him.

Interesting that in 1952, Hubbard appeared to think that Christ did exist.
"Christ bore the burdens of all man and the world, didn’t he? So, if a person keeps on offending, offending, offending against the seventh dynamic, he will eventually offend so wrongly and so widely and broadly that his only solution to it is to wind up as Christ. This isn’t saying that’s the route that Christ went...."
HCL-11 RESOLUTION OF EFFORT_AND COUNTER-EFFORT: OVERT ACTS. 5203C08. A lecture given on 8 March 1952
But on the Class VIII course, Hubbard stated that Christ did not exist.
"Anyway, Everyman is then shown to have been crucified so don't think that it's an accident that this crucifixion, they found out that this applied. Somebody somewhere on this planet, back about 600 BC, found some pieces of R6, and I don't know how they found it, either by watching madmen or something, but since that time they have used it and it became what is known as Christianity. The man on the Cross. There was no Christ. But the man on the cross is shown as Everyman. So of course each person seeing a crucified man, has an immediate feeling of sympathy for this man. Therefore you get many PCs who says they are Christ. Now, there's two reasons for that, one is the Roman Empire was prone to crucify people, so a person can have been crucified, but in R6 he is shown as crucified."
"The entirety of Roman Catholicism - the devil, all of this sort of thing - that is all part of R6."
from lecture 10 "Assists", of the Class VIII Course lectures. 3 October 1968.
But on the OT VIII course, Hubbard states that "Christ was a pedophile."
L. Ron Hubbard, lunatic, liar or both?
